Long Beach Soccer Club (LBSC) holds their annual
open tryouts after teams have completed the State Cup competition. Therefore
for U9 through U14 (born after 7/31/93), tryouts will be held at Long
Beach State Univerisity's George Allen Field during Saturday, February
23rd and March 1st, (rain out date March 8th). Additionally a weeknight
session will be held on either Tues. 2/26 (U11/U13) or Wed. 2/27 (U9/U10/U12/U14)from
6:00 to 7:30.
Times for Saturdays - Based on age for upcoming fall 2008 season
8:00 to 9:30 - U9's/99's (born after 7/31/99) & U10's/98's (born between
8/01/98 and 7/31/99)
9:30 to 11 - U13's/95's (born between 8/01/95 and 7/31/96)
11:00 to 12:30 - U11's/97's (born between 8/01/97 and 7/31/98)
12:30 to 2:00 - U12's/96's (born between 8/01/96 and 7/31/97)
2:00 to 3:30 - U14's/94's (born between 8/01/94 and 7/31/95)

We will be forming new U9 (99s) and U10 (98s) teams, players with birthdates
after 7/31/97. i.e. children born between 08/01/98 and 7/31/00.
However, interested players may request a tryout opportunity with current
teams during a practice session by contacting the Club Director, Mauricio
Ingrassia at anytime throughout the year via email at lbsoccer@mac.com.
Also when emailing please include the childs birthdate and a brief playing
history. [Please note that the trainer may be focused on state cup or
a tournament and may not be able to fulfill your request at this time
in order to focus on the current team members.] Don't be discouraged,
continue to check our website for the open tryout dates.
The evaluation and selection period may continue after the initial tryouts
occur over one to six sessions, with sessions lasting a few hours on a
given day.
