LBSC BU14 Blk wins 2007 Pyramid Cup!
GU12 white win Capo Cup!
LBSC GU12 white won the Capo Cup this weekend. The team went undefeated
in the tournament, allowing only 1 goal to be scored upon them. They beat
TVSA Hawks, a tough San Diego team, in the final 2-0 to win the tourney.
The team is new to LBSC, and with a fantastic bunch of girls including:
Katie Ha, Alisha Berg, Phoebe Conrad, Kelly Peterson, Alex Bachman, Ali
Emmons, Hannah Cruz, Lauren Iris, Ashley Sholmire, Makenna Oberst, Sydnie
Woods, Kalei Mata, Kaitlyn Masterson, Mckenzie Dutton & Clara Hunt.
Great job to all of the players. Go Beach!
LBSC GU17 White wins 2007 San Luis Obispo
Tourament!
& didn't give up a goal all weekend!
LBSC G94 black wins Celtic Cup!
With severe weather conditions in San Bernardino,
LBSC G12 Black posted a 3-0-1 record in the Celtic Cup tournament on the
road to winning the championship!
They won the first game, beating Blast SC royal 3-2. LBSC was down 2-0
in the first half, making a remarkable comeback for the win. In the second
game, it was a battle to the end against Neusport from Las Vegas. The
game ended in a 1-1 draw. In the semi-final, LBSC eased to a 5-0 win over
Pleasanton Rage from Northern Cal. In the Championship, LBSC met Neusport,
and once again it went down to the wire until tournament MVP Chloe Gharios
scored the winning goal with only 4 minutes remaining.
The team was led by the goalscoring firepower of Arielle Fernandez, Chloe
Gharios, Hannah Goldsmith and Sierra Skelly.
Also notable was the outstanding goalkeeping of Alexi Cruz and the tenacious
defense of Maegan Furr. The defense was also helped by the skillful play
of Claire Oates and Shelby Riphagen.
Clarissa Chavez provided good forward play and Rylee Anderson provided
excellent crossing from the wing.
Jamie Gracie, Helen Werner and Nikki Wadley all helped provide good ball
movement and combination play from the midfield. And
Therese Perales and Carly Marietti provided good ball winning and distribution
in the middle.
The team was also a finalist in the Pyramid Cup and finished 11-2-1 in
the bronze delta division.
